Claire and Grant’s Dearborn Michigan wedding felt like stepping into something timeless. From a ceremony at the Martha Mary Chapel in Greenfield Village to an intimate, candlelit reception at Cafe Cortina. Every part of their day was intentional, calm, and centered around simply being together.
Their story started in the same place they said their vows. Greenfield Village was where they had their first date, and later, where they got engaged. Choosing to get married there felt less like a decision and more like a natural continuation of their story.

A GREENFIELD VILLAGE CEREMONY AT MARTHA MARY CHAPE
The ceremony took place at the Martha Mary Chapel, tucked within Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Michigan. A space that feels quiet and classic, with soft light, and a setting that feels both intimate and meaningful.
Claire and Grant’s presence together set the tone for the entire day. Their energy was calm and grounded, not rushed or performative, but focused on being fully present with each other. It created a ceremony that felt deeply personal, where every moment had space to be felt.
After the ceremony, we stepped just outside the chapel for family photos, followed by bridal party portraits throughout the surrounding areas of the village.

EXPLORING GREENFIELD VILLAGE FOR PORTRAITS
One of the most unique parts of this Dearborn Michigan wedding was the time we had to truly explore Greenfield Village.
This part of the day felt less like a checklist and more like an experience. We chose the village, historic buildings, tree-lined paths, and open spaces to document portraits that felt cohesive.
We even made a quick stop at their home to include their dogs in their wedding photos, which added such a personal and meaningful layer to their gallery.

A SEAMLESS TIMELINE THAT ALLOWED THEM TO BE PRESENT
Because their ceremony and reception were in different locations, it created one of the best timeline flows for a wedding day.
Their ceremony ended around 3pm, and their reception at Cafe Cortina didn’t begin until later in the evening. This gave them the opportunity to actually attend and enjoy their cocktail hour, something many couples don’t get to experience.

AN INTIMATE CAFE CORTINA RECEPTION
Cafe Cortina created the perfect setting for their reception. The space felt warm, romantic, and inviting. With candlelit tables, soft lighting, and thoughtful details that made the entire evening feel elevated yet comfortable.
The reception itself was intentional and intimate. It wasn’t about a packed dance floor or high-energy chaos, but about meaningful conversations, shared moments, and celebrating with the people closest to them.
As the evening continued, guests gathered outside where dancing took place under twinkling lights on the patio. It felt like a quiet, beautiful transition from dinner into celebration.

WHY THIS DEARBORN WEDDING COMBINATION WORKS SO WELL
Having a ceremony at Greenfield Village and a reception at Cafe Cortina is such a strong combination for couples who want both:
- a historic, meaningful ceremony location
- and a romantic, elevated dining experience
The ability to move between spaces also creates more flexibility in the timeline, allowing couples to be more present throughout their day instead of feeling rushed from one moment to the next.

FOR THE COUPLES WHO ARE DRAWN TO THIS
This kind of wedding is perfect for couples who care about how their day feels just as much as how it looks.
Couples who:
and want their photos to reflect their real connection
value intentional moments over packed schedules
want time together throughout the day
are drawn to timeless, classic environments
If you’re planning a Dearborn Michigan wedding or a celebration at Greenfield Village or Cafe Cortina, I would love to document it in a way that feels true to you.
