Kali and Joe’s engagement session took me to the east side of Michigan for a beautiful outdoor engagement session in an open field that holds real meaning for them. Instead of choosing a random scenic spot, they selected a location that is personal to their story, which always creates the most authentic Michigan engagement photos.
We began the session in the woods where the light came through the trees in the softest way. From there, we stepped out into the open field surrounded by flowers and warm summer colors. The entire session felt natural, relaxed, and full of genuine emotion. They walked hand in hand, laughed together, and simply enjoyed the moment while I documented their connection in a candid and true to life way. These are the kinds of outdoor Michigan engagement photos that feel timeless because they reflect who a couple really is.
One of my favorite parts of the session was incorporating pieces of their everyday life. When I saw Kali’s orange Jeep Wrangler and Joe’s old truck parked nearby, I immediately knew they needed to be included. Engagement photos that feature meaningful personal details always tell a deeper story, and these two vehicles are such a perfect part of their relationship and life on the farm.
And because farm life always brings surprises, their little rooster decided to wander into the session at the very end. He proudly strutted into the frame and absolutely stole the show.
